If you do not have access to board games and other materials there are a variety of fun games that can be played outdoors and offer fun and exercise. Fun games can be found by walking into any toy store or department store that sells board games. Some of the most popular fun games for kids include the board games candyland, operation, and trouble. These are easy board games targeted to kids and are a lot of fun to play. Monopoly, clue and battleship are also fun games that are classic family games. Sometimes families pick a day for a weekly game night when they gather around a table and spend a few hours together playing board games and laughing. The classic family games are often found at the center of such nights. It is essential to find fun games for kids when hosting a birthday party. Some fun games that are often featured at kids birthday parties include pin the tail on the donkey and break the pinata. In pin the tail on the donkey a poster of a tailless donkey is posted on a wall. Then when it is your turn you are blindfolded and given a tail that has tape on the back. After you are spun around you will try to pin the tail as close to where it should be on the poster of the donkey. The individual who gets the tail closest is declared the winner. Pinatas are also popular games at parties. In involves taking turns being blindfolded and swinging at a cardboard structure with a plastic bat until the cardboard breaks a release candy everywhere. Other fun games include games like dominoes, chess and checkers. The company Klutz puts out a variety fun games for kids including puzzles and activity sets.

If you do not have access to these materials and resources there are many fun games for kids that can be played outside. These games include red light green light, tag, mother may I, and spud. The game red light, green light involves one individual being ‘it’ and standing at one end of a yard. All of the other players stand in a line about twenty feet away. The person who is ‘it’ will turn around and say green light. All of the other players will move quickly toward the person who is ‘it’. At any point ‘it’ can say red light and turn around. If anyone is caught moving when he/she turns around then they are out. The first person to reach ‘it’ is the winner. Other fun games for kids include pool games such as Marco Polo. There are also seasonal games like bobbing for apples and Easter egg hunts. Wherever you are and no matter what resources are available to you, it is easy to find fun games for kids to play.
