This type of educational software will help kids to learn subjects like math, reading and spelling while they are having fun. A few popular kids games include board games such as connect four, scrabble, and twister. Scrabble involves putting down letters on a board in order to spell out words. Twister is a very fun game in which the player surround a large mat that is placed on the floor. The person who is in charge of the spinner will spin it and call out what color you need to put your foot or hand on. As the game progresses the players get very tangled and fall down. The object is to be the last player standing. Pictionary Jr. and Boggle are also well known, fun kids games. Other popular games for kids include chess, uno and mancala.

There are many games for kids that can be played outdoors and do not require any materials. These games include spud, tag and red rover. Red rover is a kids game in which the players form two teams. Each teams stands on opposite sides of a yard or field and stand side to side in a line, holding hands. The team to start calls a player from the other team, yelling, “Red rover, red rover send ___ right over.” The person that was called then runs full speed at the other teams line, aiming for a spot where two people are holding hand. If the person who was called can break through the hands then he/she gets to choose one person from that line to come back to the other team’s line with them. If he/she can’t break through then he/she becomes part of that team and is incorporated into the line. If it is raining outside and you do not have access to board games there are games for kids that can be played indoors such as hide and seek. Games for kids can vary depending on the season. Marco Polo is a popular game that is played in the summer. All of the kids that are playing get into the pool and one person is it. The person who is it closes their eyes and calls “Marco” and everyone else replies “Polo”. The person who is it tries to tag the other people in the pool by following their voices. If a player is tagged then they become it. There are many different games for kids and you can find one to play anywhere no matter what resources you have available to you.
